“ This was my 2nd time at backwoods. We came back because we loved the food and the drink specials were good (and well made). The server was friendly and attentive. It’s nothing fancy but you can tell it is a locals favorite place to go. Old, young, motorcycle lovers, to housewife’s ... all crowds welcome which made for a fun atmosphere. If you are looking for a quick drink and great bite to eat I recommend ”
“ Standard sports bar vibes, but clean and modern. We sat at the bar top and the bartender, Tamara, was amazing. Helped us with a few decisions on the menu, her suggestions were spot on. Food was honestly better than expected. Taking an additional pizza and appetizer sampler home. 5 stars. ”
“ I was abltnto take my dog onto the patio and my server brought her a bowl of water before I even asked. They also have a "dog-burger", which is a plain patty, already chopped up for her, and served in a small aluminum bowl. She was supremely happy about that. I was also supremely happy with my cheeseburger and fries. The burger was cooked a perfect medium, served with lettuce, tomato and red onion, and my choice of cheese ( I chose pepperjack). It was really delicious, the fries were perfect, and even the pickle was crisp and delicious! Definitely a place you should check out for the great food and service. If I had any concerns, it was that the patio was directly beside a busy 4-lane hwy and is was quite noisy. However, I would still go back just to try some of their other dishes. ”

We were served with friendly patience by Nate and Bailey, including our younger guests, and received our orders in a timely manner. The ambience was casual modern and everything was clean and comfortable. Portions were large and delicious! “ The old Native New Yorker in Payson changed to Backwoods. Everything about our dining experience was excellent. Maybe the best honey not wings I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked as we like our wings extra crispy. There are plenty of tv's to see from anywhere in the bar area. Every staff member that we met were very pleasant with quick service. Nice outdoor patio when it's cool enough to sit outside. Definitely will be back. ”
“ Excellent food and service. Homemade potato chips . Great place to bring your dog they made my dog his own chicken burger, gave him his own water bowl and dog biscuits for his dessert. Highly recommend. ”
